Eating and Drinking in Corona
There are a couple of sure bets when it comes to Southern Californian cuisine: one is, you will never go far wrong with Mexican restaurants, ‘Baja California’ style. Another is when you want a good-sized comfort meal, there are franchise restaurants which won’t let you down. The Wood Ranch BBQ and Grill is one such place, with great plates of ribs or barbequed half chicken, drenched in their signature sauce. You can choose a couple of sides to go with your entrée that can be wicked, such as smashed sweet potatoes; or virtuous, like a mountain of steamed broccoli. There is a Wood Ranch restaurant in the Dos Lagos complex.
For modern Mexican, try Luna Kitchen, a favourite with locals. Their guacamole is prepared table-side, so can’t get any fresher. The Cerviche de la Casa is a crowd pleaser, with fresh red snapper marinated in honey citrus and served with spicy mango salsa.
